Well, this was one of the best years yet at the annual Tulsa zoo fundraiser. The weather was mild with a great breeze, the animals were out, and the food was spectacular. I love this charity event for so many reasons but one of my favorite reasons is watching customers go above and beyond with the theme each year to create spectacular looks. This year’s theme was African with inspiration drawn from the Maasai tribe out of Eastern Africa.
We met up with these extraordinary ladies as we arrived at the Tulsa Zoo to start the evening.
Meghan looked incredible and perfectly on theme in the Charlotte Taylor Zebra Print chiffon maxi dress. Love how she paired the amazing print with a bold blue heel for a pop of color and her hair up which perfectly plays up the Maasai Tribe feel for the evening.
Kaylynn looked fantastic in the Ivana Helsinki lace mini dress in Ivory paired with a metallic clutch. Perfectly light and airy for the outdoor event…effortlessly chic.
I am wearing the Augden bralet and tiered skirt in abstract bird print with the Inverni woven straw hat, Loeffler Randall Annabel wedges in Cheetah, and the Loeffler Randall studded lock wallet in Natural/Black combo. I was channeling an “Out of Africa” theme mixed with a little Ingrid Bergman from “Notorious”.
My husband looked dashing in his Animal Print Swim Trunks and Linen Shirt from great local Cherry Street shop Shoe Gypsy and his Persol Sunglasses from the wonderful local store Black Optical on Brookside.
As I perused the amazing local food tents I ran into Samantha who looked fabulous in her Zinke Zoe Dress in Summer Blue paired with a vintage white coral and horn necklace both from Rope. Love how she added the vibrant printed jacket and the pops of color with the orange clutch and red shoes. She nailed the challenge of channeling the Maasai tribe in her look for the evening both with the colors and mixing prints and textures.
As I was headed to the lounge area, I spotted Dan & Laura. Laura looked absolutely incredible in the Etienne Aigner Pleat Dress in Peony. The dress not only fits her perfectly but I love the bold multi-color jewelry and fantastic platform heels she accessorized with for the colorful event…works beautifully with the theme for the night.
Sorry that I didn’t catch all of you wonderful ladies in your Rope looks but you all looked amazing. So happy to see everyone really go for the bold colors for this charity event.
Thanks for a lovely night Tulsa Zoo!
